John Kelly John Kelly, the Street Smart Profiler is a renowned criminal profiler, addiction specialist and co-star of Investigation Discovery’s “Dark Minds” television series. He came to prominence after he was the first person to connect the word “addiction” with “serial killer” in his 1992 paper, “The Alcohol, Drug and Serial Killer Connection”. As the first theorist to identify serial killing as an addiction, Kelly’s profiling efforts were applied to the cases of the Green River Killer, the Main South Woodsman , the Charles Cullen Angel of Death case, the Molly Bish abduction and murder case, the 2001 Anthrax Killer case, the Atlantic City prostitutemurders and the case of the Long Island Serial Killer, among others. Kelly has been known also for his interviews with infamous serial killers, such as Henry Lee Lucas, John Wayne Gacy and “13” (the killer on the phone) from the Dark Minds show. These efforts led to three appearances on CBS’ 48 Hours, four appearances on HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell show, and featured appearances on NBC’s Today Show, Headline Prime’s Nancy Grace Show and Fox 5’s Geraldo At Large. He has also been featured in radio and print news and referenced in the books Green River Running Red by Ann Rule; Never See Them Again by M.W. Phelps; and Dead of Night by Gary C. King and Sheila Johnson. In Dark Minds’ three-season television run, Kelly was seen around the world in twenty-two episodes over three years. Kelly is the founder of STALK, Inc. – System To Apprehend Lethal Killers – and the Executive Director of ExtraCare Health Services, LLC, an outpatient counseling agency for addictive illnesses. He is also a Board Certified Forensic Examiner, a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Examiners, a National Certified Addiction Specialist and the author of Warning Signs - A Guidebook for Parents by Regnery Publishing. |
