Leo BattenhausenLeo has been working in the field of Psychotherapy and Mental Health Services for over 20 years. He has been employed in psychiatric hospitals, prisons, employee assistance programs, supported employment programs for the mentally ill and substance abuse facilities over the course of his career. He is currently in private practice in New Jersey, and directs the City of Linden, New Jersey's Employee Assistance Program. He has two Masters Degrees, one in Behavioral Sciences and one in Clinical Social Work. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified School Social Worker, Certified Relationship Specialist and a Substance Abuse Professional. He is a regular guest on Relevant Radio's "Morning Air Show" with host Sean Herriott every-other-Tuesday as the Mind Mender, offering practical, useable and extremely helpful psychological and addiction solutions to listeners. He has also been featured on many major national talk-shows providing insight and useful information and guidance on managing depression, mental illness, marital and relationship, and parenting concerns. Battenhausen brings a very unique and People Friendly quality to his writing, therapy services and radio broadcasts. He attributes his successes to treating all people from the homeless, drug-addicted to the police chiefs and CEOs in the same manner. "We're all in this (life) together, we all have common troubles and struggles regardless of what we do for a living, how much money we have or where we live," he said.
