Battenhausen brings a very unique and People Friendly quality to his writing, therapy services and radio broadcasts.  He attributes his successes to treating all people from the homeless, drug-addicted to the police chiefs and CEOs in the same manner.  "We're all in this (life) together, we all have common troubles and struggles regardless of what we do for a living, how much money we have or where we live," he said.  Leo also relies a great deal on his sense of humor, understanding of people and his faith in God.

"Socialcide: How America is Loving Itself to Death" has been a laborious work of witnessing many changes in society's values, social institutions, family systems and spirituality caused by technology, increased self-absorption of people and society's rising inability to feel for others which is causing our natural need and desire to love each other to diminish.
