Janice Brown

Award-winning publisher, mother of three children (as well as the proud owner of two dogs and two cats) and active board member of more than one animal shelter, Janice Brown is a woman of action. "People will believe what you do, not what you say,'' she said. True to her philosophy, there is no stopping the cheerful, down-to-earth (and equally determined) Brown when it comes to what she sees as her underlying mission and the founding principle behind her overwhelmingly successful regional publication, Tails: helping animals. The founder of Tails Media Group, Inc., which provides pet owners with articles and resources, and sponsors local events, Brown launched ChicagoTails in 2000.
