The Couple Next Door: Thanksgiving Explanation Peg Lynch and Alan Bunce ping-ponged across both radio and TV with this classic comedy, which began as "Ethel and Albert" on local Minneapolis radio in the early 1940s, then moved up to the NBC Blue Network and ABC in the mid and late '40s. Peg Lynch brought the series to television as a continuing 15-minute segment on The Kate Smith Hour during the 1952–53 season. And finally, the show was rebranded for legal reasons as The Couple Next Door, returning to radio from 1958 to 1960. This one is from 11/28/1958.
