USA National Miss Scholarship Organization is a national pageant program designed to reward young women for their achievements and to mentor them to reach their goals and true potential. With six different divisions, there is truly a potential title here for you! Join Valerie as she talks with Jackie Watson, National Executive Director of USA National Miss, Alex Durkee the current USA National Miss and Ava Tortorici the current USA National Pre-Teen. They’ll be talking about what judges are looking for, your interview style, and much much more! Jackie Watson
Jackie is the founder and National Executive Director of USA National Miss. She has been a pageant director for nine years, and has been a professional journalist and public relations specialist for over a decade. Her news and feature stories have been published throughout the Atlanta area in well known publications, and around the gloabe through International news wires. She is a former member of the Advisory Board of National Beauty Makers, and has also served as a pageant judge for many local, state, and regional pageant systems throughout the Southeast. Involved in pageantry from all angles – as a director, judge and pageant mom, Jackie currently works in a prestigious law firm as a law assistant and marketing coordinator.

Alex Durkee
Alex is a freshman at Gainesville State College and is the reigning USA National Miss. She was a representative to the Congressional Youth Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. And a representative to the World Youth Leadership Conference in Vienna, Austria. She has studied different forms of dance since the age three and has been involved with modeling and pageantry for seven years. Alex had the honor of being selected to attend IMTA in New York City where she was thrilled to hit the runways with some of the best in the modeling industry. Alex graced the cover of Supermodels Unlimited for their annual Most Beautiful edition in 2009. She is an ambassador for the American Heart/American Stroke Associations and actively promotes her platform, Abandoned Child Syndrome.

Ava Tortorici
Ava is a 10 year old from New Jersey who is the reigning USA National Preteen. Ava was featured on the cover of the 2011 Supermodels Unlimited Most Beautiful Edition and has been involved in pageantry and modeling for many years, earning many local and national titles. Ava was recently chosen to represent the Special Olympics as an Ambassador. She is the founder of Ava’s Divas, an organization she began in order to help children in her community. Through her organization, Ava unites friends, queens, and classmates together to raise money for families in need who have children with cancer.
