Our guest is James Bean, a comparative religion scholar and a book reviewer, author, public speaker, broadcaster with a broad familiarity with global religions and spiritual traditions. He has been involved with Public Radio, Radio For Peace International, the community radio movement, Wisdom Radio (was on for a decade or so on Sirius satellite radio), and is an independent producer currently creating programs for several stations. He is also a previous guest of this program. On this appearance, James will discuss meditation techniques that mimic the near-death experience.

He has been involved with Public Radio, Radio For Peace International, the community radio movement, Wisdom Radio (eventually renamed "LIME" on Sirius satellite radio and television), is an independent producer currently creating programs for several stations. James also is a scholar and practitioner of Surat Shabda ('Shab-da) Yoga, an ancient form of meditation from India. This form of meditation is about the "Union (Yoga) of the Soul (Surat) with the Inner Light and Sound of God (Shab-da)."
