Beings of Light

Ingrid Honkala, PhD was born in Bogota, Colombia, where she grew up with her parents and three sisters. From the moment she drowned in a tank of cold water at the age of two, Ingrid was aware of other dimensions of life than those most people normally experience. She was also gifted with the wise input of "Beings of Light" who gave her invaluable insights and assistance as she faced the challenges of growing up, falling in love, and finding her professional destiny as a research scientist and oceanographer. Despite many hardships, Ingrid has become a successful marine scientist, world traveler, a mom, and also a mentor and a giver of light. She is the author of A Brightly Guided Life: How a scientist learned to hear her inner wisdom.

Ingrid Honkala Ingrid Honkala, PhD was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, where she lived with my parents and three sisters. Although she grew up in the mountains her love for the ocean started when her parents brought her to see it for the very first time at the age of four. She perceived it as a huge blanket and told her mom that some day she was going to find what was hidden under it. At five she told her dad, "When I grow up I am going to become a marine scientist." She pursued her dream and went to college where she graduated as a Marine Biologist and later continued her graduate studies until she got a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences with emphasis in Biological Oceanography. Her passion for her career had brought her to be a very successful scientist in this field. Since she was very little her parents discovered that her learning abilities were astonishing but that was not all. Later they also discovered that she could see and hear things that no one else could. All this seemed to be tied up with the aftermath of a near death experience where she drowned at the age of nearly three. Not long after, she started to communicate with Beings of Light who had guided her through a journey of miracles, not just around the world but also through the barriers of time. With them she ha s been able to access the past before her current life and the future. As she grew up and remembered her drowning, she could never get away from the question, "How could I have seen my body lifeless if I was still alive?" This experience made it clear to her that there was an existence beyond the body. Before she was quite three, she was gifted with knowing that she has existed for a very long time.
