Tami West
Tami began her career with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. She spent the next ten years working in hospitals, physician’s offices, and research labs. But her real love was teaching. In 1999 Tami obtained her Master’s degree in education. It was during her time as a graduate student that she was hospitalized for anxiety disorder. She was able to overcome and taught successfully for ten years. Because of what she had been through as a new teacher, she developed a new-teacher mentoring program for her school. This program is now part of every school in that district. In 2005 Tami left teaching to write her book Life Without the Monsters to help women dealing with worry, fear, stress, and anxiety. It is her passion to help people understand the reasons behind their fears and anxieties, how to identify specific triggers and, most importantly, practical techniques to live a fulfilling life. Her second book, Balancing Your Career and Your Life, will be was released in October 2007.
