What i Learned from my NDE

In today’s program, host Lee Witting turns the tables and becomes the interviewee not the interviewer. Veteran journalist Stacey Chase asks Lee to reflect on what he has learned from his own NDE, as well as from listening to others recount theirs. During an eclectic and peripatetic career spanning five states, Stacey has published in The Boston Globe and Globe Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, Science & Theology News, Poets & Writers, and elsewhere.

Stacey Chase Stacey Chase is an award-winning journalist, writer, and co-poetry editor of a literary quarterly. During her eclectic career, she has worked for a dozen newspapers and magazines in five states but now lives outside Portland, Maine, and primarily covers northern New England — Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Chase serves as a poetry editor at The Café Review, a nationally known poetry quarterly. She is currently at work on a book-length memoir. Chase’s work has appeared in The Boston Globe Magazine,The Christian Science Monitor, Newsweek, Poets & Writers, Vermont Life, Yankee, and many other publications. She was a contributor to the book Leap of the Heart: André Dubus Talking (Xavier Review Press, 2003). Her honors include a Virginia Press Association Award, a Gannett Well Done Award, and an International Regional Magazine Association Award. Chase has been the Bernard J. O’Keefe Scholar at the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and two-time recipient of the Judith Davidson Moyers Scholarship (endowed by Bill Moyers) from her alma mater, Middlebury College. The Cafe Review
