Nazim Rashid is a Life Coach, Professional Motivational Speaker, Radio Talk-Show Host, Author and Personal Development Specialist. But it was a long path to get there. Nazim went from a childhood of suicidal fantasies to drug abuse in his adolescent years, to drug addiction, suicide attempts and homelessness. A 12-Step program and conversion to Islam were the first steps on his path to abundance, and now he helps others to raise the self-esteem, self-image, self-confidence and optimism levels so their goals can be realized.

Nazim Rashid
Nazim Rashid has been helping communities, organizations and individuals regain their sense of power, control and self-esteem since 1978. His particular interests have covered a wide array of fields. He has served the community as a Counselor in the fields of mental health, substance abuse and the previously incarcerated. He has served as a Trainer creating a Teen Educators model, men­toring and training adolescents in the areas of Conflict Resolution, Listening and Communications Skills, Drug Recovery using the 12 Step approach, Peer Counseling techniques and establishing sup­port groups. These trained youth received additional training to then train and teach other youth to become trainers themselves. Na­zim has also served as a Teacher for the severely emotionally dis­turbed adolescents, autistic children and adults and private music students. He has additionally served as an Educational Consultant working with organizations and schools, empowering staff, students and community members to realize their higher potential. He operated as the CEO of his consulting firm, Nazim Rashid Consulting, since 1993, now called New U Enterprises, LLC, certi­fied by San Francisco s Community Board for Conflict Resolution Training, recently recognized by the International Who s Who of Professional Management for his work with the youth and is cur­rently in their 2001 directory. He serves as an Author, Consultant, Life Coach, Personal Development Specialist, Workshop Facilitator and Motivational Enthusiast. He also has to his credit his first publi­cation, curriculum and training manual entitled Young Fathers Life Skills Curriculum and Facilitators Guide. He also is a professional jazz musician and music teacher, performing for at least forty years with some of the greatest names in jazz.
