Life After Child Stardom

You may remember former child star Blake McIver, from The Little Rascals, Full House or Star Search. He hasn't had the easiest life. Being a child star, he was bullied at school. He came out as Gay, and had to face the challenges associated with that. And with acting opportunities drying up, he hit the skids emotionally. But he’s turned it all around and reemerged as a positive, musician.

Blake McIver Blake McIver has been performing for millions of people since the age of six when he won the title of Star Search's Junior Vocalist Champion. His TV/ Film credits include: The Little Rascals (Waldo), Full House (Derek, 3 seasons) as well as co-star appearances on The Drew Carey Show, Clueless, Home Improvement, and The Nanny. Theatre credits include Chess (Freddie) The Light in the Piazza (Fabrizio), AIDA (Radames), Carousel (Enoch Snow, Jr.), Hairspray (Link), Ragtime (Edgar, US Premiere- Ovation nom.) Voice Over and Animation include Tarzan, The Little Mermaid II, Anastasia, Recess, and Hey Arnold. Blake has also worked extensively a vocalist for recording artists such as Michael Jackson, David Foster, Natalie Cole, and Barry Manilow to name a few.
