Advocating for Improved Health and Safety in the Porn Industry
Bookmark and Share
Cameron Adams is a former porn performer who was known in the industry as "Cameron Bay." Cameron only did porn briefly for a few months in 2013, but during that time she sustained a serious injury to her breast, got a serious kidney infection, and contracted HIV.

After these tragedies and leaving porn Cameron could have retreated into anonymity to protect her privacy and just take care of herself alone. But instead she has bravely decided to speak out to improve health and safety standards and practices in the porn industry, (particularly advocating for mandatory condom usage), in order to prevent others from going through the nightmare that she has, and to raise awareness about HIV prevention and treatment and to end stigma for those who are HIV positive. (Cameron has worked with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation while doing this.)
