Wanda J. Cooper is an author, speaker, and health advocate who teaches women how to regain their health when it’s been lost. A former road-warrior in the high-tech industry, Wanda pursued a fast-paced career while struggling with mounting health issues - issues that increased in severity but left her without a diagnosis of cause from any doctor or specialist.

Through decades of fighting depression, fatigue, hormone issues, and eventually thyroid cancer, Wanda visited dozens of doctors and spent thousands of hours researching the reasons behind the decline in health among American women. She authored the book Broken Vessel Restored: How to Overcome Depression, Illness, Infertility, and Hormonal Imbalance and Reclaim Your Connection to God to help people everywhere understand the processes needed to restore health and vitality and how to protect the next generation from a similar fate.

I’m Wanda Cooper. I wrote Broken Vessel Restored to help women regain their health and let them know that they are not alone in their struggles. I want women to know that they are not doomed to a life of depression, illness, and hormone problems. The path that enabled me to write this book was not an easy journey. It wasn’t a short one, either.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in economics many years ago. After graduation I worked for a high-tech consulting firm implementing enterprise-wide software systems at large companies. I traveled constantly and tried to ignore the nagging health problems and depression that began to slowly weigh me down. I later moved on to project management at a high-tech startup company and also worked in their training division. This job required lots of overtime, travel, and stress – and although I didn’t know it at the time, would be the final straw that would drain my health for good. After realizing that I really did not like implementing software, but really, really loved people – I decided to make a career move into financial planning. The hope was that I could use my analytical skills and love of people to help them plan a better financial future. Lots of training, studying, and long hours invested in a new career turned out to be in vain, as escalating health problems began to erode any chance I had of working at all.

Through a decade of two very difficult pregnancies, even harder postpartum recoveries, cancer, and a complete loss of well-being, I stubbornly tried to research my way back to health. From studying books, articles, and research papers, and combining that knowledge with my own experiences trying to regain my health through every available channel, I finally started to decipher the complex and intertwined causes of illness in the female body. And though I would like to say I figured it all out through tenacity and sheer will, it was actually God’s trail of breadcrumbs that enabled me to connect the dots. By following the processes now held in Broken Vessel Restored, I finally regained my health. Now a much healthier and balanced person, I strive to teach other women the methods necessary to recover from depression, illness, infertility, and hormone issues, and let them know that there is a way out of the dark. There is a way to heal – and there is definitely hope.
