Teenage Driving
Recent government data found a ten percent spike in teen driver-involved fatal crashes. Pam S. Fischer consultant for the Governors Highway Safety Association, principal of Pam Fischer Consulting in Hackettstown, NJ outlined the current teen driving restrictions used in most states. She believes that states should consider strengthening their teen licensing requirements. She said the brain is not fully developed in teenagers, so teens donít asses risk in the same way as adults.

Teens and Stalking
Stalking is a widely recognized public health concern, yet little information is available about stalking behaviors among teenage victims. Dennis E. Reidy, PhD Clinical Neuropsychologist, Behavioral Scientist in the Division of Violence Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta led a study that determined that found that 14% of girls and 13% of boys have been victims of stalking. In addition, the survey found that the stalked teens were more likely to report symptoms linked to depression, as well as risky behavior such as binge drinking and sexting.
