It's often said that parents should shield their preschoolers from media exposure. But one expert says the right kind of media can help preschoolers flourish academically, socially and emotionally. Then, millions of Americans are suffering from some form of diabetes. What are the causes of this apparent epidemic?

Youth Sports Referees Youth sports programs across the nation are experiencing shortages of referees. Bob Gardner, Executive Director of the National Federation of State High School Associations said 80% of high school officials quit before their third year, and the average age of referees is climbing, now in the mid 50s. He said the primary reason behind this trend is abusive behavior by parents. He talked about the rewards of working as a sports official and explained how someone can volunteer.
