The Liberian Entertainment Awards, also known as the LEA, are an accolade awarded to Liberians at home and in the diaspora for their outstanding contributions to the Liberian Entertainment Industry in music, film and fashion. The annual ceremony, held across the United States, features performances by established and promising artists. The LEA was founded in 2009 by our guest Tarkus Zonen. He joins us to discuss this year's awards, and how the LEA have grown over the past six years.

Mr. Tarkus Zonen is the Founder of Liberia’s Premier Entertainment website, www.LiberianEvents.Net that advertises and promotes everything that is trending in the Liberian community, most particularly some very classic Liberian music. He has committed himself to ensuring that Liberian musical geniuses get the recognition they deserve. He is a Co-founder of ‘The Liberian Entertainment Awards’ and the Founder of ‘The Tarkus Zonen Foundation’ that provides shoes for the less fortunate. . He facilitates and produces the ‘All Liberian Spring Break. Currently, Takus is a Business Specialist at Wells Fargo Bank with an in-depth Marketing education from Metropolitan State University.
