Lacey Russ Lacey Russ, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2011, is a 17 year-old senior attending Cordell High School in Cordell, Oklahoma. Lacey is ranked First in her class with a 4.0 G.P.A., has received the President’s Academic Achievement Award, All-American Scholar, the Outstanding Academic Performance, and scored in the Top Five Percent of the ACT explorer program. Lacey was selected for the prestigious Leadership Oklahoma’s Youth Leadership Class and been named to the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. Lacey is an accomplished vocalist and pianist, as well as writes her own lyrics and music. Being a diversified performer, Lacey is Drum Major, First Chair Flute as well as being an All-Star and All-American Cheerleader. Sometimes performing even means joining the team! That’s right – Lacey is a member of the Cordell Girls Basketball team. During her reign as Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, Lacey travels the country promoting her platform P.U.R.E. Excellence. During the past six years, she has worked with youth encouraging them to live a lifestyle of purity and strive for “pure excellence” in every endeavor of life. She has great hope for the youth of America to help them better their self-esteem, show them by leading by example and most of all – challenging them to not just better, but LIVE BEST. Jennifer McKenna Jennifer began competing in pageants at age 7 as a means to demonstrate and improve her dancing skills. In 1995 she won the prestigious title of Teen Miss North Carolina and went on to win the title of Miss Virginia in 2002. She spoke to students at 50 different middle schools across Virginia on the Right Decisions, Right Now Program, an anti-alcohol, drug, tobacco, and peer pressure program now officially endorsed by the Miss America State Organizations. In October 2005 she won the title of Miss Virginia USA becoming the first person to ever hold the Virginia state title in both the Miss America and Miss USA pageant systems. Jennifer graduated from Campbell University in May 2000, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received her law degree from the George Mason University School of Law in 2004. She is currently the Princess Camp Coordinator for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant and serves on the board of directors. Princess Camp is the fastest growing mentoring program in the nation and offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls' ages 5-12. Miss America's Outstanding Teen Princess Program |
