Scott Fleischer discusses the latest sports news while answering listener phone calls and emails. Scott also interviews guests from the world of sports.
While hosting the show, Scott draws from his vast radio experience as well as his broadcasting influences. In addition to On the Sidelines,
Scott can be heard anchoring sports updates on WBBM Newsradio in Chicago.
His past experience includes being a part of XM Satellite Radio's Major League Baseball channel and working at WTEM in Washingon, DC.
Scott has been drawn to sports talk radio since his father set the clock radio next to his bed to 'Sports Call with Ken Beatrice' on WMAL. Scott would listen each night before going to sleep as Ken took calls and talked sports with fellow Washingtonians. Scott remembers the first day that WTEM in Washington, DC came on the air as the market's first sports talk station.
Other radio influences for Scott include former Washington radio personalities 'The Greaseman,' 'Don & Mike,' and Howard Stern.
After growing up in the nation's capital, Scott attended The Ernie Pyle School of Journalism at Indiana University. Several years later, he finds himself back in the Midwest and living in Chicago. Now, he looks forward to connecting with sports fans around the globe with
