Ian and Tonya Fitzpatrick, Esqs.TRAVELN ON hosts, Ian and Tonya Fitzpatrick, Esqs., are sought after travel experts and enthusiasts who, combined, have traveled to and lived in numerous countries around the world. Ian and Tonya are regular contributors and guests on CBS and NBC and have been featured on The Prudent Advisor for Retirement Living Television and also in the elegant Private Clubs Magazine. The Fitzpatricks are published travel writers who hold a membership in the National Press Club and they are currently working on other travel media projects. Prior to their syndicated radio show, Ian and Tonya founded Bronze World Travel (www.bronzeworldtravel.com), a value-based internet travel booking company offering discounted travel packages. Both lawyers, they recognized that a better quality of life could only be achieved if they put their efforts into something that they love travel! Now their energy is now spent discovering and sharing our world through their travel brands and investing in the global community. Ian has a long history of travel and travel industry experience, having previously served as a financial analyst in corporate planning and labor relations at Northwest Airlines. His decades of leisure and business travel experience have provided him with a wealth of knowledge on various destinations, planes and airports. As a life long architecture and urban planning enthusiast, Ian likes visiting cities that have notable architectural structures and, as a pseudo historian, he enjoys heritage and cultural travel. He is also an adventure and sports travel enthusiast who frequently travels to see his favorite teams play and enjoys visiting newly developed or historically relevant sports arenas wherever he goes. Ians professional resume includes an appointment as Assistant General Counsel at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, and as an Assistant States Attorney and Special Assistant City Solicitor for Baltimore City. Ian attended the University of Michigan, where he received his bachelors degree and MBA, and he graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law. Ian currently serves on the Board of Visitors for the John H. Johnson School of Communications at Howard University and the Board of Directors for the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Washington, DC. Tonya has sought a life full of exciting travel experiences. She has lived, studied and worked abroad in England, China, Russia and Romania and her many travels have taken her through many regions of the world including a 5-week backpacking trip through Asia where she returned to China and visited eight other countries in the region. As an avid scuba diver she gravitates to coastal areas; however, she loves adventure and desires to trek through Nepal and climb Kilimanjaro in the near future. Tonyas professional resume is as diverse as her travel experiences. She received a political appointment as a Senior Executive in one federal agency and has worked as a federal defense contractor in another agency, Homeland Security. Shes also worked for a Member of Congress on Capitol Hill who later recruited her as a senior political campaign advisor to assist on his ultimately successful and highly visible state gubernatorial campaign. She also has served as a manager for a national non-profit arts organization and shes earned success in building successful small businesses. Tonya was a political appointee to the Montgomery County Committee on Hate Violence where she served as Vice Chair and in 2002 she was elected to a political central committee in Maryland. She received a fellowship in the Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University and her undergraduate degree in business administration was earned at National University in San Diego. She pursued graduate studies at the London School of Economics and received her law degree from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit. Additionally, she received a certificate in law from East China University of Politics and Law in Shanghai, PR, and was listed in Whos Who Among American Law Students. Tonya currently serves on the International Roundtable for the Washington Network Group and the membership committee for the City Club of Washington DC. She also is a graduate of the Greater Washington Board of Trades Small Business Academy and, along with Ian, serves on the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Washington, DC.
