Guest(s) Appearing on this Episode
John Spence
John's first experience of Africa was mixing cocktails in a Cape Town bar, but he soon broke out and worked as a white-water rafting guide in the rapids below Victoria Falls. Though this was hardly a conventional introduction to Africa, it started his love affair with the country that he has continued across endless journeys: on horseback, by canoe, on foot, by light airplane, and behind the wheel of his own vehicle. He still goes back for more. John’s two children have shared in many of his less extreme adventures and are beginning to be safari experts in their own right: he is a good person to talk to about family travel in Africa, but if you want the real scoop, ask them. Itineraries designed by John are based on a huge bank of knowledge and transformed by a generous dose of enthusiasm and a love of adventure.
