This year's contestants will demonstrate their community leadership throughtheir community leadership through their personal platforms, their amazing diversity of talents through the talent competition, and their poise and confidence through the personal interview and on-stage competition. But how could anyone possibly pick just one winner from all these amazing contestants? Join Valerie as she talks with Rick Brinkley, the official Judges Consultant for the Miss America Organization, about everything you’ve always wanted to ask about judging at Miss America. Rick Brinkley is a former Emmy-nominated producer of the Sally Jessy Raphael Show who left the show to go to seminary. For the past 10 years he has been the President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau. However, over the course of the past 31 years, there has been one constant….and that is the Miss America Organization. In addition to his past careers, for the past 5 years he has been the national judging consultant for the Miss America pageant.
