Our guest today is Peter Panagore, the author of Two Minutes for God, available at Amazon, and the up-coming book, Heaven Is Beautiful, which is about his NDE while ice-climbing. Peter was ordained in the United Church of Christ and educated at Yale Divinity school; he was raised Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox.

Peter Pangore
Reverend Peter Baldwin Panagore is a native New Englander, born and raised in Massachusetts, and a graduate of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut with a Masters of Divinity. Rev Panagore earned his B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He attended Montana State University for one year as an exchange student, from where he performed nationally in the Theater of Silence and graduated from the Catholic prep school -- Saint Johnís High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts where he rowed crew. Raised both Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic, and ordained in the United Church of Christ Congregational, New Haven Association in 1987, he served 18 years in pulpits in Connecticut and Maine, ending that portion of his career as minister of the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, United Church of Christ. In 2003, he was recruited to apply for the position of Pastor for Daily Devotions. Given his theological, literary and theatrical training it is a role for which he is suited. He serves as the fifth minister of FRPCA. From 1999-2006 Reverend Panagore was a staff writer at Homiletics, the leading nationwide worship preparation journal for mainline clergy. Homiletics has published more than a hundred of his sermons. He has also published short stories in anthologies, most notably, Chicken Soup for the Veteranís Soul, by New York Times Best Selling editor Jack Canfield. Two Minutes for God was released by Touchstone/Fireside an imprint of Simon & Schuster, in early December of 2007 and landed immediately on the Maine Best Seller list. He is at work on his next book. Reverend Panagore has practiced centering prayer and yoga for 30 years, writes poetry, skis fast, once died in an ice climbing accident, and obviously came back. He is married with two adult children and lives on the coast of Maine within earshot of the sea
