Joseph Uscinski received his bachelor's degree from Plymouth State University, his Master's from University of New Hampshire, and his Doctorate from University of Arizona. His research has appeared in many scholarly journals and outlets. His first book, The People's News: Media, Politics, and the Demands of Capitalism addresses how audience demands drive news content. His most recent book, American Conspiracy Theories, addresses why people do or don't believe in conspiracy theories in America. He is currently associate professor of political science at University of Miami.

Since then, he has published more than a dozen books and has appeared on the Travel Channel, History Channel, National Geographic, Discovery, and many more networks. A popular public speaker, Warren has featured at The International UFO Congress, GhostFest, and the SCSS Conference on Cryptozoology. He hosts a syndicated paranormal program, Speaking of Strange, airing Saturday nights from the flagship station, News Radio 570 WWNC in Ashevill, North Carolina. His latest book is titled, It Was a Dark and Creepy Night.
