Marlon Lindsay
Marlon Hartley Lindsay was born in Seven Miles, a small town outside of Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of 13, Marlon moved with his family to Connecticut. After graduating from high school in Bridgeport, Coonnecticut, Marlon went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Communication Psychology. Maintaining his educational momentum at UConn, he earned a second Bachelor s degree in another concentration, Psychology, just one year later. Marlon went back to UConn a few years later to earn his Master of Arts in Educational Psychology, as well as completing additional graduate courses from Columbia University and the Wharton School of Business. Marlon s professional career showcases extensive leadership in business development and financial strategy in Hartford s corporate culture, first with Eastman Kodak and then later with his own company which he literally built from the ground up with his partners. In his quest to learn more about himself and how he fit into the world, Marlon traveled extensively. But he found his purpose at home. The year 2005 was a pivotal one for Marlon. It is the year that he founded EOTO Publishing, EOTO (Each One Teach One) is the parent company to several divisions, one of which is First Time HomeBuyers, a magazine educating first time homebuyers on the process of achieving the American Dream. Marlon has served as Publisher since its inception. In 2005, Marlon also met his life partner Amanda and found a deeper meaning to living. It was one morning in 2005 when the work that he was meant to do was revealed to him. One morning after prayer and meditation he was inspired to write the precepts of his life, Reminder To Self. It came to him fast and it came to him complete. It is the foundation of his current work and his book.
