Do you know what your kids are doing online? A better question may be do you understand what your kids are doing online? Kids are much more tech-saavy than adults, so to get your kids prepared to handle the digital world, you will need to get a handle on it yourself first. Diana Graber and Cynthia Lieberman have created a resource called Cyberwise that can help. At Cyberwise, no grownup is left behind! They help parents and educators understand online safety, privacy, digital citizenship, and more. We'll learn all about their creation and the resources it provides on today's show.

Diana Graber
Diana Graber has long been a producer and marketer of media — including film, video, television, print, and live sports events. Together with her husband, she is co-owner of Graber Productions, an Emmy-award winning (8 times!) film and video production company.

Diana has recently been immersed in teaching “digital literacy.” As Adjunct Faculty of the Media Psychology M.A. program at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (MSPP), she taught “Media Psychology for the 21st Century” at the graduate level. Meanwhile, she also developed and teaches a middle-school media literacy program called Cyber Civics™. She is also a regular contributor on digital media topics for the Huffington Post, and many other publications.

She has a B.A. in Communications Studies from UCLA and an M.A. in Media Psychology & Social Change from Fielding Graduate University/UCLA and was a finalist for the NAMLE Research Emerging Scholar Award for her paper, New Media Literacy Education. She serves on the boards of the Journey Foundation and Wheels4Life and resides with her husband and two “digital native” daughters in Capistrano Beach, CA.

Cynthia Lieberman
Cynthia Lieberman is a marketing strategist who currently operates her own marketing and public relations consulting firm, Lieberman Communications. She brings more than 20 years of experience as a renowned leader in creative marketing and integrated public relations for a long list of prestigious companies and clients including Warner Bros., Sony, Fox, Paramount, NBC/Universal, Fremantle Entertainment, Fox Family, GSN, Stan Lee’s Pow! Entertainment and more.

Along with her rich marketing and PR experience, Cynthia currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE).

She has a B.A.in Electronic Media Management and a M.A. in Media Psychology and Social Change from Fielding University/UCLA. She has served on the board of the Television Publicity Executive Committee (TPEC) and has received multiple Promax Medallion Awards in recognition of her creative marketing talents.

She currently resides with her husband in Northridge, California, and has two "digital native" children attending college.

Cyberwise co-founders Diana Graber and Cynthia Lieberman met while pursuing M.A. degrees in Media Psychology and Social Change, a pioneering field that focuses on how human behavior is affected by the media and how to use it to influence social change. They decided to apply their state-of-the-art education and 40+ years of combined entertainment/media experience to digital media and kids.
