This week's guest is Tess Graham, who is a physiotherapist and breathing educator. She has delivered her ground-breaking breathing retraining to more than 5500 people over the last 22 years. Helping people with breathing-related problems has been her mission since witnessing her own children's recovery from chronic asthma. Tess established Australia’s first dedicated breathing clinic in Canberra in 1993.

Tess is the author of Relief from Snoring and Sleep Apnea – A step-by-step guide to restful sleep and better health through changing the way you breathe. Tess Graham
Tess Graham is Australia’s ‘go-to’ trusted expert on breathing. She is the creator of the groundbreaking BreatheAbility for Health programs and author of ‘Relief from Snoring and Sleep Apnoea’.

Tess has a science degree majoring in anatomy and physiology, a post-graduate qualification in physiotherapy, and the highly-regarded diploma in the Buteyko Breathing Method from Moscow. Tess is one of a few Western experts directly authorised and accredited by the late Professor Konstantin Buteyko to teach his method of breathing retraining.

Her training has been complemented by her involvement in medical research, her own research and consultation with medical and dental specialists from different parts of the world, and through her extensive experience of working with hyperventilation and other forms of dysfunctional breathing.

Helping people with snoring, sleep apnea, asthma, anxiety and panic disorders has been her mission since breathing retraining freed her children from the scourge of asthma and sleepless nights struggling to breathe.

For over 20 years now, Tess has had a successful clinical practice in Canberra, Australia, dedicated entirely to breathing retraining. She has helped more than 5500 people – men, women and children of all ages and abilities – to achieve quality sleep, boost their energy and lower their risk of serious health issues by improving the way they breathe. She has helped people with asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, COPD, rhinitis/hay fever, snoring, sleep apnoea and anxiety and panic disorder. Tess has developed a Sports Performance Enhancement program and worked with many elite and team athletes.

Tess now devotes most of her time to speaking, lecturing and teaching throughout Australia and abroad in order to spread her life-enhancing message. “To sleep well and be well, you must breathe well.” Getting your breathing right is the foundation of true health and wellbeing.
