Dr. James M. Sears
James M. Sears, MD or "Dr. Jim," as he is known in the office is a board-certified Pediatrician in private practice with his father and brother in Southern California. Dr Jim will be co-hosting the Dr. Phil spin-off series called, THE DOCTORS, a nationally syndicated hour-long daily talk show. Dr Jim is very excited to be hosting this show along with four other doctors. It will be informative and entertaining! Dr. Jim earned his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1996 and completed his pediatric residency at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, Tod Children's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio in 1999. Dr. Scott M. Fishman
Dr. Scott M. Fishman is Chief of the Division of Pain Medicine and Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of California, Davis. He was formerly Medical Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Pain Center at Harvard Medical School. His medical degree is from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Fishman lectures on all aspects of pain and its treatment throughout the US. He has authored “The War on Pain” through Harper Collins Publishers and “Listening to Pain” through Waterford Life Sciences. Dr. Fishman is President and Chairman of the Board for the American Pain Foundation. He is past president of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and previously served on the board of directors for the American Pain Society. Dr. Fishman has spoken about pain widely in the major TV media such as the Today Show, Good Morning America and the ABC Nightly News and has been quoted in the major written press such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine and Newsweek. He has served as the Pain Expert for Discoveryhealth.com and has a monthly question and answer column for the American Pain Foundation e-newsletter.
