The Accreditation Commission For Acupuncture And Oriental Medicine The Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) is the national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for the accreditation and pre-accreditation ("Candidacy") throughout the United States of first-professional master's degree and professional master's-level certificate and diploma programs in acupuncture and Oriental medicine, and professional post-graduate doctoral programs in acupuncture and in Oriental medicine (DAOM), as well as freestanding institutions and colleges of acupuncture and Oriental medicine that offer such programs. |

Abbye Silverstein Abbye Silverstein is a Colorado licensed Acupuncturist. She holds a Masters of Acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Laurel, Maryland and has been in private practice since 1999. She is a Five Element trained practitioner specializing in pain anxiety, stress and PTSD. Also, her background includes training at a master’s level in humanistic/transpersonal psychology counseling with 3 years in addictions counseling as well as 16 years in corporate human resources specializing in recruiting, employee relations and training and development. For 8 years, Abbye was an Associate Professor and clinical supervisor at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO. From 2007-2011, she administered the acupuncture recovery program for Larimer County Probation and Community Corrections Center. Currently, she is completing her two books, an acupuncture manual for acupuncturists and a a book for the public, “Acupuncture: Answering Your 7 Frequently Asked Questions”. |
