We feature a lot of Hall of Famers on Sports and Torts, but this week, we're focusing on two guys that aren't in the Hall of Fame but deserve to be there: MLB's Tim Raines, who has the most stolen bases of any player not in the Hall, and wide reciever Cliff Branch, the only member of all three of Oakland's Superbowl teams.

Sports and Torts: Tim Raines
Raines played parts of 23 big league seasons from 1979-2002, 13 of them with the Expos. He also played for the White Sox, Yankees, Athletics, Orioles and Marlins. Raines retired as a .294/.385/.425 hitter with 2,605 hits, 170 home runs, 808 stolen bases, 69.1 WAR and far more walks (1,330) than strikeouts (966). He won World Series titles with the 1996 and 1998 Yankees.

Sports and Torts: Cliff Branch

Branch spent his entire 14-year NFL career with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders, winning three Super Bowl rings in Super Bowl XI, Super Bowl XV and Super Bowl XVIII. Branch caught 3 passes for 20 yards in Super Bowl XI, 5 passes for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns in Super Bowl XV, and 6 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown in Super Bowl XVIII.

Tim Raines
Tim "Rock" Raines played as a left fielder in Major League Baseball for six teams from 1979 to 2002 and was best known for his 13 seasons with the Montreal Expos. He is regarded as one of the best leadoff hitters and baserunners in baseball history. In 2013, Raines began working in the Toronto Blue Jays organization as a roving outfield and baserunning instructor.

Raines is the 1986 NL batting champion, a seven-time All-Star, and four-time stolen base champion. He also has the most stolen bases by a switch-hitter and the most by any player who has not been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Cliff Branch
Cliff Branch is a retired American football wide receiver who spent his entire 14-year National Football League career with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders, winning three Super Bowl rings in Super Bowl XI, Super Bowl XV and Super Bowl XVIII. Branch holds the distinction of being the only wide receiver to be a member of all three Raiders Super Bowl teams.
