Sports and Torts: Hall of Famer John Stallworth

Stallworth played in six AFC championships, and went on to four Super Bowls (IX, X, XIII and XIV), scoring the winning touchdown on a 73-yard reception against the Los Angeles Rams during Super Bowl XIV. He was named all-pro in 1979 and all-AFC in 1979 and 1984, the same two years he was voted Most Valuable Player by his teammates. He also played in four Pro Bowl games

John Stallworth
Stallworth played fourteen seasons in the National Football League for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at Alabama A&M, and was the Steelers' fourth-round draft pick in 1974. Stallworth played in six AFC championships, and went to four Super Bowls. His career statistics included 537 receptions for 8,723 yards and 63 TDs. His receptions were a franchise record until that record was surpassed by Hines Ward in 2005. Stallworth played in three Pro Bowls and was the Steelers' two-time MVP.

The John Stallworth Foundation
